Enjoy the Summer Hydrated and Energized with Watermelon Chia Fresca

Summer brings the feeling of joy.  The weather allows us to get outside and enjoy all kinds of activities and fun.  It also contributes to dehydration and zapped energy.  Hydration is vital for almost every function in the body, so you should always drink liquids before you get thirsty.

This summer you can add this refreshing summer drink, Watermelon Chia Fresca,  to your daily routine to stay hydrated and also enjoy sustainable energy.  The chia seeds in Chia Fresca have mighty benefits.

Chia seeds help with hydration because they absorb 10 times their weight in water, and help you retain the electrolytes lost during activities. Meaning that if you’re running or working out in high heat or for long periods of time, they’ll help regulate your body fluid levels.

Chia also Improves stamina and endurance for strenuous exercise of any kind. Chia seeds contain Niacin and Thiamin, the sparkplug vitamins for metabolizing carbohydrates into useable energy. Chia seeds also slow the rate of carbohydrate conversion into sugar, which keeps the body fueled for longer periods of time.

Remember to drink at least eight 8 oz glasses of liquids per day and add Watermelon Chia Fresca to this regimen for more satisfaction with a boost.

Here’s the recipe below
